Hasn’t it been such a great pleasure to listen to the correspondence that we receive from our scholarship recipients! It is such a reward to know that our efforts have helped young women reach for their dreams. Lockport College Women’s Club has been in the business of supporting young women achieve their academic dreams for nearly 100 years. Our 100t^ Year Anniversary will happen in 2020! Let’s start thinking about ways to celebrate this accomplishment. The Program Committee is always looking for suggestions for programs. Please give your suggestions to either Monica Pullano or Marion Hannigan.

Once again, we need to look ahead to next year. We are always looking for new people who are willing to serve either as an officer or on the Board of Directors. Please consider volunteering! It’s a great way to meet people and help out. It’s a fact of life now that fewer people will commit to joining a club such as ours. Many no longer see the need. Many claim that they do not have the time. The expectation of members is really not a significant amount of time - attendance at two meetings, payment of dues and support of the annual fundraiser. It's time we sang our praises and looked for new members to help with the historic vision of the women who created the club to begin with. Young women still need encouragement and support to reach for the stars. shared by two people, too. So if you are interested, please let Patty Russell or any other Board Member know of your interest.
