Get the 4-1-1 on Local Politics

Michael Tucker, Lockport mayor, will be our featured speaker at the February meeting. We are excited that he has agreed to speak to us. Mr. Tucker will talk about politics in the city, so bring your questions. This meeting will be held at 7 pm on February 3rd at the Tuscarora Inn. The dessert choices are bread pudding a la mode, triple chocolate cake, or a fresh fruit cup. The cost is $10. Registration will begin at 6:30 pm. Dessert and coffee will be served at 7 pm followed by the meeting. Patricia Kennedy and Rosemary Dever will be the hostesses for this meeting. (As noted below, you can give any spare baskets filled or empty to them at this meeting or make arrangements to have them picked up.) Please call the telephone committee by 9 pm on Sunday, January 30th to reserve your spot. Please remember that all meetings are guest meetings.

Wow, was our December meeting great! We
exchanged books and had actors from the
musical Scrooge sing for us. They were dressed
for their parts and they told us how they got involved in theater.

BEFORE YOU KNOW IT OUR FASHION SHOW WILL BE HERE! The basket raffle committee is looking for your help. Do you have any Christmas presents to "re-gift" to College Club? Or any items to donate to use in a basket? How about baby, art, Christmas, pet, entertainment, books, or games to name a few?! We are creative—you donate it, and we'll put it in a basket! If you have an individual piece of art, antique, or item that could be raffled on its own, that will work, too! For pick up of items, call Patricia Kennedy (433-8848) and she will arrange for a pick-up or feel free to bring items to the next couple of meetings. We'll be there!!!

Special points of interest:

 LCWC needs a Secretary – could you do the job? The position only requires taking notes at two meetings per month. Think about it!

 The next board meeting will be held at Dee Morotchie’s on Feb. 10th at 7 pm.

 Alert! Alert! There was a mistake in the last newsletter: the date for the Fashion Show is April 10th!!! We regret the error.

 Do you have any spare empty baskets? The wonderful Basket Committee needs more baskets for the Fashion Show. Please call, drop off, or give them to Pat Kennedy.
