December 2011

December meeting - 7 p.m. December 1 at the Lockport Town &Country Club.
Featuring: Yule Log dessert with peppermint ice cream or fruit cup for $12.
AND
A program about the famous Niagara Wine Trail and special wine by
Martin and Anne Schulze, owners of the award-winning
Schulze Vineyards and Winery of Burt.
They devote 45 acres of their 122-acre farm to grapes.
Reservations by 9 pm Sunday, November 30, with the Telephone Committee.


ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dues of $35 will be accepted at the December meeting. Late dues are $40. Checks may be sent to Treasurer Ann Van Dusen before December 1.
In November, members voted to increase dues to $40 for the 2012-13 year,
with a $10 late fee.
Also in November, members voted to reduce the four-year scholarship to $1,000.


CHRISTMAS CARING PROJECT

Inspired by Nurse Molly Maigret’s talk in November about the needs of sexual assault victims, the Board decided to ask club members to donate packs of new panties, socks, or sweat pants and/or tops at our December meeting. Victims must turn over their garments for testing and need fresh clothing to wear home. No gift wrapping necessary!
