Reflections
on the life of the late Olivia (Ollie) McConnell, of Lockport, a 30-year
College Club member and a well-known artist throughout WNY, will be given by
Shelley Richards at the November 7 meeting of the Lockport College Women’s
Club. Ms. Richards, a former student of
Miss McConnell, is Board Chairman of the Niagara County Genealogical Society.
The
7 PM meeting at the Lockport Town & Country Club will feature a delicious
dessert buffet. Cost is $12. Guests are
welcome. Just be sure to make reservations with a phone lady BEFORE 8 PM
Sunday, November 3.
Hostesses will be
Jeannine Benoit and Mary Beth Gammack.

Two books in memory of six deceased members have been
placed in the Lockport Public Library.

In September, longtime member and former officer Betty
Bates passed away in Schenectady. A graduate of SUC Brockport, She joined
College Club in 1966 and had taught in Lockport.

Gail Marshall made a gift to the scholarship fund in
memory of Greta Aloisio and Shirley Chrzynowski and also in honor of Patty
Russell for her years of dedicated service.
Our upbeat October speaker, David Kinyon, donated his stipend to
scholarship.
